Grass fed beef
Our premium beef comes from a quality herd of Limousin and Angus/Friesian cattle raised on approximately 400 acres of fertile pasture.
Limousin meat is finely textured, tender and low in saturated fats and cholesterol. Limousin is leaner with substantially lower fat content then choice beef usually found in supermarkets. And that means a lot less calories (and saturated fat). Taste you’ll love and your waist will too!
Crossing quality Limousine bulls over Angus/Friesian cows also produces exceptional quality calves whos beef is much sought after.
Grass fed lamb
Our premium lamb comes from our herd of purebred heritage Ryeland sheep that produce excellent quality meat and tasty, succulent fresh lamb. The texture and flavour of Ryeland meat is very hard to beat.
Nowadays, Ryeland lamb is much sought after by rare-breed butchers, top chefs, hotels and restaurants. If you’re looking for the succulent roasts and juicy cutlets, ‘do yourself a favour’ and try Ryeland lamb.
Free range pork
Our pigs are born and raised in grass paddocks, with access to dirt, bark, leaves, roots and other natural soil substances that they are free to explore and dig in without being restricted by nose rings! Their diet is supplemented with premium grain and seasonal products such as apples and potatoes to ensure they have the best possible diet. They also have access to mud bathes which they enjoy so much. The life our pigs leed is very different to the life of the majority of Australian pigs farmed intensively in piggeries where they spend their lives in cages that they can’t turn around in on concrete floors being force fed. Its certainly more expensive to raise free range pork, but when you understand the difference and taste the difference you will never again be able to bring yourself to eat any other type of pork.
We focus on raising Large Black pigs – a rare breed of pig that originated in England. This particular breed is much appreciated for its succulent taste and eating quality; it is superb as pork but excels when traditionally cured as bacon, salami prosciutto & capocollo.
